An act of kindness

Sorry my Monday post is late. 😦  For those who are waiting for the translations, I’m going to work on it after I finish this post. I have actually been very busy as well as not feeling so well due to the extreme weather in Toronto right now. The cold cracks my fingers and makes it very painful for me to type. 😥

Anyhow, for this post, I would like to talk about being kind. Honestly, living in our world, sometimes life seem so hopeless. The weak is oppressed by the strong; those with power abuses it; people are looking out for themselves. But despite all that, I believe there is good in this world.

A couple years ago, I was waiting for a streetcar. When I opened my backpack to fetch my ticket, my papers flew out and blew away. I was so sad and worried (because it was an assignment). What was I going to tell the teacher? My assignment blew away? V___V Anyhow, I got onto the streetcar and was busy being anxious. A couple stops later, I heard a man yelling from the background. “Wait!!! WAITTTTT!!” he screamed.

The driver assumed he wanted to catch the streetcar, so he stopped the vehicle. The man came on and gave me back my paper. He ran 7 stops to give me back my work and I had no idea who he was.

I was in shock. I didn’t even thank him properly because he got off right away.

Oh my goodness. Until this day, I’ve never seen him again.

It was an act of kindness that I will never forget though.

Today, I would like to pass on to this act of kindness.

I would like to talk about a guy named Stephen Paul. Now, I don’t know Stephen personally. In fact, I have no idea what he looks like, how old he is, and where he is from.

I met him through WordPress. He is a follower of mines. On his blog, I could tell that English is not his native language. The grammar/sentence structure can be odd at times, but this guy puts so much effort in trying to improve the lives of others. He blogs about health and gives his readers a lot of knowledge and advice on topics such as heart attack, lung disease, how to stop snoring naturally, etc. He includes a lot of images in his post as well (it takes a lot of effort).

This guy really tries so hard, and it would mean a lot if you can check out his blog here and show him some support.

The last person I want to talk about is Enrico!! Haha. He is also a follower of mines. 😛  Enrico left a very thoughtful and kind comment under one of my personal posts recently. I found out he also wanted to start a blog of his own. However, he didn’t really have the confidence to do so. As a result, I tried to motivate him and gave him some support over the internet. Surprisingly, he actually started a blog the very next day!! I was honestly impressed.

A lot of the times, we say we will or want to do something, but we rarely ever take action. The fact he tried because he said he wants to makes me very proud. Currently, he is struggling with the template, but I believe as long as he keeps trying, he will be fine. Right now, he doesn’t have much on his blog, but if you would like to say hi and show support, you can check him out here

By the way, neither of them asked me to write this. I just wanted to pass on an act of kindness. I don’t have many followers myself, so it may not make any difference to them (in terms of views). However, perhaps, I can make them feel better about themselves.

Take care, everyone. I have to work on my translations now. lol ❤

    1. That’s awesome! Hehe. It will continue to grow as long as you put up content consistently! Don’t expect results right away because it takes time for people to find and discover your blog.

Remember to use tags in your posts!!

Hehe. I remember I was so excited whenever I saw someone reading my blog from another country. I was like, “OMG. Someone from Finland came by!” And so on. Haha. Thanks for sharing your excitement with me! 🙂

      1. I’m not sure if they automatically change it to a #, but I just type it in. When you are writing a new post, look into your left hand side and you will see many options. Click on them and see what you can do with it. Ex. Categories, sharing, etc. It’s all on the side, next to your post. When you click on something, it will expand and show you more options. I don’t really know how to explain. But click on the side stuff and explore!
