Quote Challenge 1/3

Ahh!!! I have been nominated to do a quote challenge! I’ve been putting it off because I am super lazy. But I do appreciate Shannon for always nominating me for awards and challenges. Sometimes, I’ll never do anything unless I am pushed.

Rules for Three-Day Quote Challenge:

  • Thank the blogger, who nominated you.
  • Publish 3 quotes on 3 consecutive days in your blog. It can be your own, or from a book, movie or from anyone who inspires you. (Yeah, that’s probably not going to happen. But I’ll try to make the post worth your time)
  • Nominate 3 more bloggers to carry on this endeavor. (I will do this after I’ve completed the challenge)

Anyhow, the quote that I find really meaningful is:

Alchemist quote

This is a quote from the book, “The Alchemist”. One of my friends gave me this book for my birthday and it is definitely one of the most powerful, influential books I’ve ever read in my life. As I was reading it, I felt like it was written for me. The author’s perception of life is exactly like mines. It’s as if the author could read my mind.

Getting Personal

I’m not sure if you have noticed, but recently I have been getting more personal with my readers. In the past, I would pick a certain topic and then write about it. (Ex. Social AnxietyFearAttention, and so on).

But these days, I have been sharing more about myself (10 Facts About MyselfReflection,Conversation Tips *personal experience*)

Reflection

Reflection

Yesterday, I turned 27. I feel young and old at the same time. Young- because there are still many years ahead of me (hopefully). Old- because some of my friends are already starting families of their own.

I start reflecting about my life. What have I done? What have I accomplished? What have I overcome?

The Blogger Recognition Award

bloggerrecognitionaward

Thank you so much to Shannon (Forevershannon) who recently nominated me for my first virtual award ever (The Blogger Recognition Award)! Please take some time to check out her amazing blog!! She is only 14 but her posts are so inspirational and touches me from the bottom of my heart. ❤

Here’s a quick summary of the rules: 1) write a post explaining why you started blogging along with a few tips, 2) nominate some of your fellow bloggers, and 3) comment on their blogs to let them know you’ve nominated them.

I started blogging because my friend Karen suggested that I should share my thoughts with the world. She thought I had a lot of good content/ideas and blogging would help me grow as well. At first, I was a bit hesitant because I didn’t know whether blogging was something I wanted to start. I’ve never had a strong desire to write and I didn’t think this was something I would commit to. Nonetheless, I decided there was no harm in trying, so I posted my first blog post on February of 2014.

Friendship

Friendship

When we were little, a friend could simply be someone who played with us. Perhaps it was someone who liked what we liked. There weren’t really any requirements.

But as we get older, our definition of a friend starts changing. People who we hang out with are not necessarily our friends anymore. Our standards become higher and people have to start earning our friendships.

Everyone’s idea of a friend could vary. However, I believe that the qualities of a true friend is pretty much standard for all of us.

Attention

Attention

Attention can make us feel acknowledged, appreciated, and valued. As a result, a lot of people seek attention.

In general, if one wants attention, he/she will do something to try to get others to notice them. This can include: posting a lot of pictures, messaging a lot, doing something out of the ordinary, being very loud, making controversial statements, and so on.

Some try extremely hard to get the attention of others. This may be because they feel that it validates their existence. For example, for devoted fans, it means the world to them if their celebrity crushes notice them. Thus, it is very common for extreme fans to continuously bombard their celebrities with tweets and comments. To them, if the celebrity ever responds or retweets to even one message, they feel like it’s all worth it.
